FRANCESCATECCE WORKS

STILL FACES
⟶ EDITORIAL; 2025
It’s the result of an in-depth visual research project conducted within the photographic archive of the Triennale di Milano, which contains over 20,000 photographs. The theme of the book revolves around the astonishing resemblance observed between various people who have participated in the Triennale over the years and the artworks that were exhibited there.
The project was designed with Sergio Cincotta and Arianna della Bosca.

The photographic gallery is accompanied by an anthropological essay by Hans Belting — Face and Mask: A Double History, which is about the cultural history of the face in Western art, ranging from portraiture in painting and photography to film, theater, and mass media.
Lastly, a selection of images of objects displayed in the exhibition echoes the theme of pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon where people perceive familiar patterns—most often faces in unrelated or random stimuli.
