BIANCOSPINO
⟶ TYPE DESIGN / EDITORIAL / MOTION DESIGN; 2025
It’s a font created during the type design course, developed from the historical Fleischmann Italic, reinterpreted with a sharp, spiny character. Featuring elongated, ponted serifs and slender, curved bowls, the design draws direct inspiration from the hawthorn [biancospino in Italian], which also gives the typefaces its name. The visual identity of the specimen explores esoteric aesthetics. The color palette along with scanned, black and white photography, reinforces the mystical athmosphere of the project.
